Bystander Intervention

Bystander Intervention Programs – teach people how to recognize and safely intervene to stop sexual violence, intimate partner violence (IPV) or harassment. Bystander programs identify and challenge norms that support sexual and IPV and promote norms of community responsibility for protection and prevention. The program equips participants with skills to identify problematic or dangerous behavior, develop empathy for victims, practice safe and effective methods of interven-tion, and commit to taking action as a bystander.
